If you believe in the long run in cryptos, Dollar cost average, put in a hardware wallet, and forget about it for awhile…spend time with family and friends, give today to God…and dont worry. Insane. They want to keep taking until they take everything. Then after one million they will keep lowering. And lowering. A million is nothing for a Small business owners and it doesn't go that far. Especially since cost has doubled.

Some stocks jumped more than 10x between 2020 and the top of the market in November 2021. Voyager stock went from 20cents Canadian to 23 Dollars US, Vaccine maker stocks went 20x, ZOOM stock and others made an 8x plus. There are lots of stocks that did a 10x.

It could blow up tomorrow. Fed is having an emergency meeting. Maybe they decide to inflate their way out. Unlikely but not impossible
The problem with politics though Rob is that they don't always do what's best for the country – which is what they are elected for…
Fed can’t pull a Volcker without lowering debt to gdp first. They can’t raise rates enough to fight inflation. They can only bluff and hope the recession can do their work for them.
You talk of failing banks so lightly. So if an international bank like Credit Suisse fails (which currently is looking realistic), that likely causes other major banks that depend on it to also fail, resulting in a 2009-like global financial collapse. And that's just a hiccup? GL with your "opportunity" to catch a falling knife. I believe in DCA but I'm still holding what I cashed out in 2021 and glad I haven't bought all the falling knife opportunities thus far this year.

Thanks for keeping things simple and pragmatic. You do this extremely well. Today things are opposite to what was happening when money printing, 0 interest rates, and no crazy earth extinction events from Russian nuclear threats etc. I will be surprised in a year or more when the bulls charge back in town but the bears strength can't last forever although nuclear winter would make our petty financial worries seem ridiculous. Thanks again for your balanced take on our situation.
Recession getting put on hold until after elections
Two consecutive quarters of declining GDP is not a recession anymore in ANY sense of the term. Will be VERY surprised if there is a true recession. Those old indicators are no longer relevant. Some of the stuff I hear them talking about have not been relevant since the 80s.
