OPEC had agreed to increase supply to u.s. only for the month of September. This is not about any deal with russia. They are now following through on this. They were already at almost full capacity for oil production when they agreed to a temporary increase The strategic reserve is now being rapidly drained. Drilling oil has multiple steps, requiring permits for each step. Giving a permit for the site does not mean a permit has been given to drill nor for all the steps needed for a marketable product. This country has the ability to be self sustaining to meet our needs if given the opportunity.
