Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that the U.S. had increased prices and sales of liquefied natural gas (LNG) after gas leaks in the undersea Nord Stream pipelines.
A total of four leaks were discovered last month on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines in the Baltic Sea near Denmark and Sweden. Russian President Vladimir Putin last week blamed the United States and its allies for blowing up the pipelines, an accusation dismissed by the White House.
“There are parties — or a party — that in the absence of the functioning of these gas pipelines, is able to sell more LNG at a higher price,” Peskov said. “This side is well known, it is the United States.”
Peskov stopped short of saying who the Kremlin thinks was behind the leaks, adding: “there are also countries that have the military-technological capabilities to carry out such sabotage.”
In the Kremlin’s view, European countries — the gas buyers — and Russia as a gas seller would not be interested in the gas infrastructure stoppage.
A senior Russian official said on Sunday it was technically possible to restore the Nord Stream gas pipelines, with Peskov saying on Monday they needed to be repaired but that seabed assessments had to be done first.

If the US did it, then they are playing an extremely dangerous game. Not only is a direct attack tantamount to declaring war on Russia, but it's also tantamount to declaring war on Germany.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

My take is it was definitely Russia as a 'Distraction Operation' for the annexations .. here's why :
Both NS1 and NS2 pipelines were not even operational at the time of the explosions… Putin knew selling to the west was over by the end of the year so the pipelines were useless now .. so what better way to (1) distract the west while they are annexing parts of Ukraine with their sham referendum and (2) claim they are the 'victims of terrorism' to galvanize a home population to support an unpopular mobilization, and blame the US for this attack on them on the world stage .. Moreover, they can claim 'force majeure' for not fullfilling gas contracts and avoid billions of dollars in penalties (which they could not avoid if they simply 'turned off the gas valves')..
Of course people will ask "why would they blow up their own pipelines?" and people are falling for it making it a well spent propaganda operation by Russia to keep the West's eyes away from the illegal annexations..
What is even scarier is this could all just be a pretext for a retalitory strike later on the new Norwegian Baltic pipeline that was, coincidentaly, just opened at the exact same time …
Putin is systematically taking out energy infrastructure as a weapon.. he has already shelled hydroelectric and nuclear plants and now he has blown up gas pipelines to Europe… essentially Putin is scorching the earth since he knows he is finished and is similar to when Sadam blew up oil wells in his retreat…
