I said it months ago I'll say it again. "inflation and the war in Ukraine are going to lead to U.S citizens calling for oil to be nationalized. It won't happen but people are definitely going to start calling for it. I guarantee the reason it won't happen is because the Senate and Congress are probably already invested financially in the US oil market.

Trump Trolls: "We told you Biden was awful! This will WRECK gas prices! This would have NEVER happened under Trump!"

Trump threatens OPEC+ to cut production by 9-10 million barrels per day, intentionally kickstarting a sharp but steady price hike which continued long into the Biden administration
Trump Trolls: "These low gas prices are so AWESOME! Trump is the BEST! I'm not even paying attention to what he's doing!"
(Fast forward to early Biden's administration)
Prices begin to reach historic highs, continuing along a trend which started under Trump. Biden begins work on reversing the damage. Eventually, prices begin to stabilize.
Trump Trolls: "FOX news told me these gas prices are all Biden's fault! Something about a pipeline that I don't actually understand, but I'll pretend I do! They have sound bites! GO RED TEAM!"
