Fuel may once again become more expensive after weeks of falling prices at the pumps following a decision by oil producing countries to slash production for the first time since the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Members of the Opec+ group said the September 5, 2022, decision to reduce supply is needed to bring about stability as oil prices fall amid slowing global demand because of inflation. Opec+ comprises Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) members, along with other oil-producing nations including Russia which take part in Opec initiatives.

    1. So dumb of the EU to follow with through with the US in provoking Russia in the field of oil & gas when they primarily rely on imports, whereas the US has its own wells and a massive reserve that can keep it going. As usual, trying to please papa (US) whilst failing their own people

    2. Buy from Russia at a cheaper price. Dont follow US sanctions of Russia. Every country has a right to run their own country and buy from wherever is the most economical for them. People should not suffer because US says sanction to Russia.

    3. So OPEC is part of the countries trying to meddle with the US midterms. 4weeks to go & the sabotage & pressure tactics are escalating. Makes you wonder, how much control did trump give these a-holes over the US during his term??? Right???

    4. It is so arrogant that the west think the oil countries are responsible to sell cheap oil to prop up their economies. Europe would buy as much oil as they could. You can pretty much forget about the low and middle income countries regardless.

    5. OPEC+'s decision reflects that petrodollar has lost its most important pillar, and the petrodollar can be expected to collapse very soon

recalling Bretton Woods system may be last resort for rescuing USD
