15 members of the European Union want gas prices to be capped but Germany and Netherlands disagree.
One proposal at the EU energy ministers meeting is to set up upper and lower price limits for gas.
Another proposal at the EU meeting in Prague is price caps only on gas used for electricity.
Germany has already announced a subsidy package worth nearly $200b to help business & consumers.

These are not just European problems. Even here in Australia energy prices, including gas prices have risen, and we can hardly blame Putin or the Ukraine for it and neither can the USA etc.
To me it just sounds like another carefully planned disaster, just like the sudden rise in food prices and food shortages etc etc.

Hi from Portugal. We are not using more gas cuz is more cheap, we are using more cuz hydropower because of Heat in summer is on a high time low, so we have to use more gas.
