President Biden is expected to announce three steps to bring gas prices down across the United States.
The first step is the sale of 15 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve
The White House says that distribution would meet his promise to release a total of 180 million barrels over six months.
He’s also expected to talk about shoring up reserves for the future and to call on oil and gas companies to pass on sky-high profits to consumers.
So far, they haven’t shown signs of wanting to do that.
“It’s difficult, you know, for people to deal with groceries, where the price is increasing, where the price of gas is increasing,” Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney said.
Experts say the White House is trying to highlight Biden’s actions ahead of the midterms.

The only reason it’s legal to inflate gas prices on a struggling country, is because all the people in Washington that are shoving this green energy crap are heavily invested in petroleum companies. Lowering the cost of oil isn't the problem…. it's keeping up with the production of gasoline. Kinda hard when producers of gasoline laid off their employees and now are running skeleton crews while making record profits for themselves and their shareholders. Just search for the oil exec telling cnbc host we aren't going hire more workers and produce more because they are beholden to their shareholders and they want to make money.
Taking more out of our RESERVE! It’s at the lowest capacity for 40 years. It’s temporary. Will go up after midterms. Political stunt for elections. Prices will not go down until we become oil dependent AGAIN.
Releasing Oil from the reserves to lower gas prices?
It is called the Strategic Reserve because it is meant to be used in case of national emergencies i.e in situations where the normal flow of energy has been disturbed. It is not meant to subsidize people or reduce the impact of bad economic policy.

Our President is just a dumbass and you can't make this shii_ up. Just a temporary fix and the oil reserves won't last forever but just in time for midterm's and it puts us at risk of not having any in case we need to defend ourselves in case of a war. Plus we will hurt a lot worse if we do get in trouble and we will need to give up our fuel to supply the war time reserve's and that will cripple our Country.
