    The price per gallon of gas is determined by the cost of a barrel of oil. The higher the cost of the oil, the higher the price of a gallon of gas. But really, it’s our own fault. The technology for 50 to 100 mpg cars is out there, but we’ve allowed these monopoly oil companies to buy up the tech and bury it, so it never sees the light of day, and likewise neither do we.

    Scotty..Due to a series of fines put in place in late 2020, several refineries have announced closures; one, The Houston refinery, has nearly 2 billion in operating fines in the last 2 years; in order to comply with the new rules, they would have to spend approximately the same amount as would be required to build a new, compliant refinery (which would take about 2 years). so. in the next 30-90 days, unless something changes, several refineries which together are responsible for approximately 20% of our Diesel capacity, will close.

    My daughter's Malibu did the same thing. My code scanner said it was the TCM however there was a bunch of lights on. I took it to the transmission shop and they put their expensive computer on it and there was 63 codes all being electrical. Turns out it was the ignition switch. Being faulty it limited the power it needed for the computers.

    Oil prices will most likely sky rocket as Germany and other European conturies wean off of Russian fuel and high winter demands for heating fuel increases. Fuel price will most likely skyrocket as the cold weather increases. Germany is already starting up old coal firing plants in anticipating of power demands.

    That 10 to 15 % Ethanol blended gasoline is destroying the fuel system and engine, use Non Ethanol only and you will get more miles per gallon, Ethanol based gasoline you get 30 % less gas mileage, its one huge scam the Government is pulling over everyone's eyes, they get that tax revenue why you get royally screwed, now its all about selling Electric Vehicles that is the next scam, all of the crooked Government is invested in EV stocks!
