So instead of acknowledging the failure of the sanctions, Germany decides to offshore its finest industries. Crazy that THAT is politically easier than just breaking with NATO and lifting the sanctions. Crazy world.

so Russia supplying China with energy, and now Germany will buy Russian gas from China? this just seems like extra steps, why even go against Russia if you are going to do this, if someone as stupid as me can spot the hypocrisy so could people with actual power and influence, who are they fooling.
Somebody took the decision making out of German hands with regard to restarting Nord Stream and approving the new one. It made higher energy costs unavoidable for Germany. The Germans who would have hoped for the pipelines to reopen must be annoyed. The lines running through UKR are able to be blocked too. Germany has no choice but to import LNG. This makes me wonder what might happen to Turk Stream, which is an alternative for transiting Russian energy to Europe. I am sure whoever was opposed to Nord Steam enough to blow it up will be just as opposed to Turk Stream. Perhaps it is time for Germany to boot US forces out.
I think it's also got to do with their NATO allies UK and US blowing up the gas pipeline that basically killed their manufacturing capabilities due to expensive energy cost, not to mention a lot of Germans are going to be frozen to death in winter.
