Crypto exchange FTX and its founder Sam Bankman-Fried were some of the crypto industry’s brightest stars. But that changed this week when FTX faced a liquidity crisis and froze customer withdrawals. Now regulators and investors are raising questions about financial practices at FTX and a sister firm, Alameda Research.

WSJ crypto reporter Vicky Ge Huang joins host Zoe Thomas to explain what happened and what it could mean for the wider market.

    1. Becoming a millionaire definitely isn't easy,
Building a business and investment starts with
believing you can do it! And that's why investing
in the financial markets is really good

    2. What an excellent week. The MAGA Republicans are a washout at the midterms, The Russians just got kicked out of Kherson by the righteous Ukranians, Musk is rapidly throwing the $44 billion he spent on Twitter into a volcano and finally it looks like crypto currency is turning into the Dutch bulbs we all knew it was worth all along. Hurrah!!

    3. The problem with crypto exchange platforms is that if you do not balance your assets and liabilities, things will definitely get callous to your business. Solvency in crypto exchanges is no joke

    4. Random thoughts from Australia. Knew this would happen. Crypto is a scam and I so don't feel sorry for those losers who invested in it. What a bunch of dummy heads. Don't feel sorry for stupidity!!!! Cheers.

    5. Dude, the crypto winter was already going to be long. It's a volatile asset, the regular market probably won't get better until mid to late next year at best – assuming the geopolitical situation improves. So realistically you're looking at 2024, probably. So anyone expecting crypto to pickup before the last three or so months of 2023 – likely far later, as in 2025 – is an idiot.

    6. For real though go read about the technical for each coin before investing… If you are not a programmer learn the basics… I cringe at all the people investing in crypto without knowing the tech.

If your one of those people at least stick to bit coins and not alts lol.

    7. It must feel terrible to have a huge portion of your savings invested in something and for it to flip on you over night without much warning. These types of schemes and scams have been apart of history time and time again, and without looking at history, seeing how we put value in all sorts of "things" in order to create a form of exchange, the average individual that lives in the present would never know any better.

    8. Everything you said on this video is clearly💯 with the bad recession I still earn about $70,000 monthly I want everyone to learn and invest in bonds and crypto you've to invest what you can loose

    9. Hello, I'm a Beginner, Please how can I earn profit in Crypto currency investment without incurring losses, it's really disheartening 😔🤔
