Oil, gas and mining

The future of energy in Europe | DW Documentary

Energy is life – these days, Europeans are experiencing that first-hand. For far too long, Europe has depended on coal, oil and gas imports from around the world. Not only have these fuels been driving the climate catastrophe, but they also serve as a dangerous bargaining chip for geopolitical interests.

Energy is essential — and it is a major problem. The war in Ukraine has shown just how dependent Europe is on fossil fuels. This has weakened Europe and given export countries – frequently governed by authoritarian rule – a geopolitical means of leverage.

Now, war on the European continent has eclipsed concerns over the climate Crisis. The increased consumption of harmful fuels is creating economic and political problems.

Yet, against the odds, decarbonizing Europe remains a widespread priority, and alternative solutions are already available. In France, Denmark and Ukraine, civil initiatives are taking energy supplies into their own hands and investing in the joint production of their own solar energy. In some cases, privately produced solar energy has proven much cheaper than what national solar energy providers offer. These initiatives show that decentralizing energy production could be the key to transforming our energy supply.

Poland still depends heavily on coal, but is offering re-training programs for employees in the mining business to help them transition to green jobs. An estimated one million such green jobs are expected to be created in Europe by 2030. Green hydrogen, currently still in the development stages, could be a sustainable and profitable alternative for industries in the future. Across the continent, workable alternatives are emerging. The current quick succession of political crises has now joined the ongoing climate crisis to show just how important it is to act now.

  1. Energy for all in Europe from… Russia! *
*Just a little more expensive due to middle man countries like India and China who buy Russian energy and resell it to Europe.
All thanks to the failed Western sanctions that backfired massively.😂😂😂😂😂😂

  2. The CONTROL GRID for their control of populations.

On November 9, 2001, George Bush signed a technology and knowledge industry trade agreement.  The Joint Statement begins with these words: "Since September 11, the people of the United States and India have been united as never before in the fight against terrorism.

In the mid-90's Jim, we knew that a huge amount of jobs and income-generating activities in America were going to get outsourced to Asia. I mean, those decisions were made in the early 90's, and we knew that was going to happen.

How did they know that a huge amount of jobs and income-generating activities in the U.S. were going to be outsourced to Asia?   Because Clinton, the consummate Global Socialist, was following the UN dictates of the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development of June 1992.  We know that because he signed Executive Order 12852 in June of 1993 calling for the establishment of a "President's Council on Sustainable Development" which is what the Rio Declaration was about.

Energy food money control END THE U.N

  3. Ernegy from what?, Where?. Europe doesn't have the capacity of making their ernegy clean because they first need their fosil ernegies, big technology, huge budget from the us before transitioning their ernegy.

  4. The Europeans had access to cheap Russian energy and the somehow managed to mess that up. The deindustrialization of Europe is already in progress. The "Collective west" seems to be in general decline, quite frankly.

  5. At this rate it won't surprise me if WEF will create the Matrix then migrant 50% of the European into the system to fight climate change and energy problem.
ps. European will be cheering for this to save the world.

  6. UNBRIDLED AVARICE AND UNFETTERED CONSUMERISM MEAN EXTINCTION! The climate disasters taking place in the Third World countries can be ascribed to the 'cannibalism' of the wealthy nations who persist in 'economic activities' which undermine the existence of the Planet. Do the Right Thing! And Do It NOW!

  7. You say that gas, coal, nuclear energy pollute the planet, and the manufacture of these wind power plants pollutes the planet how much + you need to service them and change worn out components
