Some cities lifted some district lockdowns this week, as Vice Premier Sun Chunlan, who oversees COVID-19 efforts, said the ability of the virus to cause disease was weakening.

The protests are largely fake
Have you heard the conspiracy theory that these Chinese lockdowns have nothing to do with COVID? It’s just a way to sabotage the Western economies by screwing up supply chains and a way to lock in energy supplies in Saudi Arabia and Qatar so when they open up they can finally increase energy consumption and not suffer massive inflation?
I admire the Chinese government for putting their people's lives before profits, but with all the information we have on the pandemic I think reopening is the only way forward.
A few thousand or hundred of thousand protesters will not change the government a bit. Just leave the speculation out of context and let the country deal with its own problem. In fact any speculation of this sort is an attempt to sabotage and to divert attention of the speculators' country problems. People are not fools any more when speculations like these appear in the social media.
C*VID restrictions in China have NEVER been about a virus. It’s about creating economic autarky for an eventual attack on Taiwan and bifurcation from the US.
The real reason of China opening is…. because US will ease the interest rate increase soon. (In my opinion)
China do that lockdown to reduce their consumption, and maintain their low interest rate policy, keep inflation in China low. And, less consumption means lower USD needed from import goods

I do wonder why the government hasn't taken the last 2 years on information campaign on how to prevent picking up the disease, certainly nobody wants to let the disease loose in a large population as China, and putting people in a protective bubble worked wonders for a while, but they knew it couldn't last forever– they should've taken the time to disseminate information, manage large gatherings, put a stress on building up healthy immune system. Now that people are at breaking point, suddenly they have to figure out how to open up while cases are still rising daily. Although in a way, they've done well protecting people for the 3 years, and if they have to let people live with the virus now, it's not a bad time to do so as the latest mutations seem to be sending less people to hospitals.

They are extremely careful because I am guessing they know evil aka the BEAST is lurking around ready to jump in and wreak havoc. Remember they were all roaming mask-free during the time when their borders are closed and most of the rest of the world are being locked down. I am seeing they do not trust the outside world.
My salute to Sean for presenting a logical view of the protests in China. The western mainstream medias are all shouting about the impending downfall of the CPC even when they know the truth that the government will not fall at any time. If we look at the protests, it is only a few hundred people. Further more, the protests seemed coordinated by outsiders as they all have the same modus operandi, carrying an A4 size paper.

Why is there such high infection rate? India is heavily populated too. But its under control. I mean infection rate and fatality rate. Is there vaccine not effective? No other country needs such lock down anymore.
