My Ratio has CHANGED! This is silver and gold I’m buying right now. At the start of this year, I had a buying ratio of 100 silver ounces for every 1 ounce of gold. That changed to 50 ounces of silver to one ounce of gold later in the year due to crazy high premiums. In this video I’m going to review my 2022 stacking totals, open my Black Friday purchases from SD Bullion, and give one memorable gold gift to Mrs. Yankee (you don’t wanna to miss her reaction). I see similar yet distinct reasons to continue stacking both physical silver and gold, but 2022 was a rather tumultuous stacking year…especially with Silver. We saw premiums just explode and it shook my stacking goals quick a bit. I moved away from my “Tier 1” silver targets of constitutional silver and government minted bullion because it just became too expensive for me to stack junk silver and sovereign silver in any big way. I focused more on silver rounds and silver bars. As I said, I also dropped my buying ratio goal from 100 to 1 to 50 to 1. However, it turned out to be even less than that! Flexibility was key to my silver stacking and gold stacking strategy. I’m not done stacking silver, but gold was clearly a priority this year. I also sourced almost all of the silver and gold from two places during 2021. First, from my amazing local coin shop dealer. And second, from my favorite online bullion dealer, SD Bullion.
