    They could easily roll out some free service that requires the DID to receive or register for. Maybe Free health care, or Free individual internet tied with a new bank account….introduced after a major economic collapse. They missed the boat with the pandemic, but I’m sure they are waiting for the next emergency that can be alleviated by a common DID system to separate the safe from the unsafe. Real ID, which is a close representation of DID is already being strongly implemented in California and is required by law in 2025.

    How to boil a frog 101: You would have to be a complete naïve idiot not to realize that digital ID technology is basically a measured response to the democratizing threat of crypto and blockchain in the hands of ordinary people. Apparently just a few of the almost utopian possibilities suggested by blockchain technology are real enough to require a dystopian response by the global oligarchy. I used to laugh at conspiracy nuts and their half baked theories about a global cabal secretly running the world. Many of those theories are still half baked, but I will confess that I’m not laughing anymore. And thanks for that ray of hope at the end. Trust free digital smart contracts on a transparent public ledger are the light at the end of the tunnel.

    Thanks for the thought provoking content. The United States, as is, could not establish a national I.D. for general use. There are federal agencies that issue I.D. for their own purposes. For example, i a veteran must present a VA id n order to receive services from the Veteran's Administration.
    Government names are established up at the local and state level

    Here are some fun facts for all you freedom fighters out there. The basis for all government identification in the United States is the birth certificate. By definition, a birth certificate is hearsay evidence. Or, in other words, the only actual evidence you are "you" is when you are standing there saying "Here I am".

    Don't take my word for the above. Just internet search any of the 50 states, "hearsay evidence birth certificate" and you'll find the exception created by that state. IOW, they're going to use hearsay evidence against you until you object.

    I’m from Singapore, we actually already have digital ID in a way. It integrates our driver’s license, identification number, birth certificates, and many of the government agencies services, such as the national pension fund and national health board records. Most recently, they’ve integrated certain investment firms to allow you to log in and check your investments through the digital ID. And even more recent is an optional integration and synchronisation of all of your banks with the digital ID. In a way, it is extremely useful for us Singaporeans to utilise government agencies services through a single app.

    I don’t think crypto will go mainstream without a digital ID. It’s not going to be possible to o do any major transactions anonymously. Or to interact with the current financial system with no identity. Without proper identification the incentive for people to conduct malicious activities on blockchains will out weight the cost of having a digital ID. There is nothing a digital ID can’t tell your government it probably doesn’t already know. If you want crypto to be taken seriously and go mainstream then this is the way

    Love Coin Bureau, but these videos are looking too much as a conspiracy theory. Believing the financial sytem is ALL WRONG and all the people running it are just clinging to power is just Hollywood drama. Everything is way more complex and not everything is bad (and crypto is waaaaaaaaay to far behind from being a viable solution).
