    “Caroline Ellison, the former CEO of Alameda Research, pleaded guilty to charges that carry up to 110 years in prison after striking a plea deal with the Justice Department.

    It’s not likely that she will serve anywhere near the statutory maximum for the charges she pleaded guilty to because of the plea agreement she struck with prosecutors in the Southern District of New York, dated December 18.

    Ellison faces seven charges that collectively carry a maximum prison sentence of 110 years. These include conspiracy to commit wire fraud, securities fraud, and commodities fraud. She also faces a charge of conspiracy to commit money laundering.”

      …and people still think, that big companies and their leaders, are all smart and competent. That they are experts on what they're dealing with.

      Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals. you have to contend with inflation, recession, decisions from the Feds and all. I was able to increase my portfolio by $289k in months. You have to seek for help in the right places.

      Crypto is just currency for criminals. If you want to buy drugs on the dark web it's done in crypto. If you want to scam people with digital nonsense like NFTs it's done with crypto. If you want to hit companies or institutions with ransomware it's paid out in crypto. The idea that it could replace traditional forms of currency is crazy.

      Mixed feelings here. 1. I always thought crypto was a hype-based scam and am glad to see its downfall 2. Who did SBF mass-murder? How do his alleged crimes merit a 110 year sentence? (ok true, it's because RICH people lost money) One would think the Eight Amendment means something or nothing……so I guess it means nothing.

      Crypto is for scammers and frauds? Really? Isn’t money laundered through normal financial institutions just as much if not more? We have entire offshore financial institutes dedicated to illegal metals, drugs, and fraud. Do your research or at least have people on your show who are knowledgeable on the topic
