  1. A cup of tea. The European bureaucrats are unperturbed. As for the people? They can shower less, wear thicker clothing and burn wood to keep warm.

  2. We know that. We know that our energy supply is destroyed. There is no going back. This is the end of Europe as a major center for anything, and probably the end of Europe as a political and economic project. Putin has won on that account at least. There is not much that can be done in the short term but focus our last remaining strength to defeat Russia. Once that is done, we will have to rebuild from scratch, on a much humbler scale.

  3. why aren't businesses factorys and homes getting solar panel. homes particularly would save at least 80% of their energy bills. If you pay installments of £100 per month you would be paying way less total energy bills per month including installments. and you would still have the solar panels after the emergency to save money and the planet. A no-brainer
