      You should mention, during the Depresssion "Banks failed—between a third and half of all U.S. financial institutions collapsed, wiping out the lifetime savings of millions of Americans."
      So people did not trust banks for very good reasons.

      They can't confiscate jack schitt. They can demand you turn it over as their regime is dying but this time the state governments will just say, we are breaking away, we will not help dying federal con men steal from our citizens, we will be our own sovereign nation now. And even if they don't who is going to go door to door in the USA that is armed with hundreds of millions of AR15s and sniper scopes and night vision and thermal imaging and body armor and 50 cal vehicle killers?
