Former submarine sailor abroad the USS Tunny (SSN-682), our boat's mission was exactly this sort of thing. Laying mines and sending Seals and divers to strategic places. This sabotage is extremely difficult to pull off, only the US Navy could of pulled this off, IMHO.

Robbie is missing the most incriminating aspect. If there was any chance that Russia or its allies for the side that did this, the United States would have provided evidence. So this is a scenario of Vanishing perpetrator, if the US or its allies didn't do it, there simply aren't that many other actors capable of it and the United States isn't even bothering to try to put one of those narratives.

Robbie is so naive to think that such an action would require a congressional declaration of war. Ever heard of JSOC? Delta? Special Activities Center? Task force Orange, etc? The US runs 100s of covert black ops that Congress and the Senate know nothing about and it could be argued, even the President doesn’t know about. JSOC was in hot water in the late 2010s for effectively being the President’s off-book covet army. Regan was conducting off-book guerrilla warfare in Central America in the 1980s ffs. Do you actually think that went away or likely increased in scope and operational readiness??

Trump weakened the U.S.-European friendship, but Biden is no doubt destroying it. Selling gas to your allies at exploitive prices is one thing but a military act against Germany as your most important NATO ally across the ocean (with france) would ultimately end their friendship and in the long run the entire NATO too.
