Domenic Iacovone had tweeted about how he got a phone call from the “Apple authorities” asking for a code and few minutes later his entire Metamask account got wiped out including his MAYC NFTs, Ape Coin and a lot more.
To turn your Metamask iCloud backup off:
Step 1: Go over to Metamask Settings
Step 2: Click on Profile and select iCloud
Step 3: Go over to Manage storage
Step 4: Backups and uncheck the appropriate option
