Living in Germany and following events leading up to the sabotage (and with a knowledge of Putin’s previous modes of operation), the case for Russia’s role in this was not laid out well here. Motive: cause fractures in NATO and signal a willingness to go after civilian infrastructure. Events: Putin had cut supplies of gas through Nordstream. He had weaponized energy and was toying with the Germans for months due to their energy dependence. History: Putin has used false flag attacks including on his own soil (apartment bombings) against his own people. Opportunity: Biden comment was a gift for his deniability. Cost: Germany had paid for the pipeline so no skin in the game. I think it’s possible the US did it but it’s not a clear case. Three investigations are ongoing. Seymour Hersh is not credible in my mind given his history. There’s a reason he had to publish outside any normal or even fringe media.

This is an act of war by biden and the US. Unfortunately I could not do anything about it. I am surprised that Germany does not say or do anything. Certainly a couple of options would be to exit NATO (after all article 5 could be invoked against the US) and secondly since no other EU nation has raised any concerns Germany should also exit the EU. It is disgusting that the people in control in Washington are criminals and have no loyalty to the Constitution. Finally follow the money!

Lots of sloppy reporting. On the public side it is true we have very little evidence available to us and yes there are motives for Russia being the culprit. Same with the US. Anyone who is claiming they 'know' is full of it. After the recent report I lean towards the West as a whole being responsible. If the Americans did it I would strongly suspect the Germans at the very least were aware and approved.
