    Anti-crypto politicians are likely seeing a lot of funding from the banking lobby. The banking system will never support decentralizing M2. And to answer the question as to why anti-crypto politicians are largely Democrats, it is because Dems crave power, control and centralization. They are the easiest politicians to corrupt.

    i don't ask much from financial institutions (crypto included).
    – Meticulous record keeping.
    – Scrupulous honesty.
    – Customer privacy (to the extent the law allows)
    – Non-discrimination from deposit and payment services for legal activity.
