Up here in New England in the northern states on paying $3.41 a gallon
Cost me over $110 to fill my truck up absolutely insane my truck gets 12 miles to a gallon on a good day on a bad day 10 mpg if you baby it you'll get maybe thirteen but if you drive normally you're going to get maybe about 9.5 to 10 miles per gallon it's absolutely horrible

Oil companies do not set the price of fuels. It’s sold at auction.
Glad I got a hybrid when I did. Bought it a little over a year ago. 30 bucks or so to fill the tank and last me 550 miles. That's a little over a month of normal driving for me. And I totally get that getting a new car isn't an option for everyone. I was already planning on purchasing a car at the time so it worked out. I definitely still feel for all my friends who aren't in the same position.
There is collusion, government collusion… Oil company greed? Ha! How elementary… Then why isn’t gas $10/gallon? Or $20?
If oil and gas prices are rising then buy some oil stocks. You will make money and offset your fuel costs. Oil company stocks are actually undervalued. right now. They are paying really good dividends, buying back their stock. The same with a lot of other commodities like metals, fertilizer companies etc.
The problem is this administration is forcing them to shutdown refineries or closing down pipelines. That impacts the supply.
That's on top of prices being manipulated by OPEC and federal taxes…not to mention other state and locality taxes cough cough California *cough*.
thats what i don't get about the EV people when they say "x will happen by Y year. No they are claiming they will and its politicians claiming that this will happen." they want people to buy ev's now so that in 27 years they can finally charge their car (who owns their daily driver that long? the only cars that realistically are kept over 20 years are collector cars 99 percent of the time) don't buy things based on promises.
