Welcome to the second part of my vlog series from my recent 21-night cruise onboard MSC World Europa, one of the newest cruise ships from MSC Cruises. This cruise took me from Dubai (UAE) to Marseille (France), via the Suez Canal, so I have so much to show you!
In this episode, I’m leaving the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) floating cruise ship hotel in Dubai, and heading out to the port to board MSC World Europa. I’ll show you the port, offer you my first impressions of the ship, and show you around! One thing’s for sure – this is unlike anything I’ve cruised on before!

Hi Fraser, from Texas! I don't know if you've had internet so thought I'd share that MSC World Europa episodes 2 & 3 didn't show up on my feed once they published. The scheduled date was there but the video never appeared so I went looking on your channel. I was surprised the view count was low and thought maybe others experienced the same thing. I'm enjoying the videos, thanks for sharing! Laurie
Hi Fraser! I'm a recent subscriber to your channel – loving the vlogs and am working my way through them. 😀 I've not been on a cruise myself and as would-be solo cruiser in his mid 50s it'd be great to get an idea of which cruise line would suit me best – I'm not sure I'd want to be on the really big ships you travel on as they seem quite noisy! That said I do enjoy meeting new people, having a drink and seeing new things. I guess I'll figure it out as I watch your vlogs. 😀

World Europa is definitely inspired by the Oasis Class ships on RCCL. There are some design similarities at the Aft of the ship for sure.
Hi Fraser, love your content. You mentioned that you weren't going to give your cabin number, however 15:33 it shows up with you entering your cabin and we can see the cabin door.
Fraser, my wife and I did the same route a few years ago. My advise is to use the organised tours (MSC) for the shore excursions in the Middle East. The Grand Mosque in Oman (or was it Abu Dhabi) is fantastic, the locals are really friendly and hospitable, wear modest dress (I bought and wore a jibjab and the locals loved it!!) Get the photos with the falcons in Oman port. Petra is a MUST!! Do the full day tour with lunch, Indiana Jones vibes. Heraklion (Crete) is a city so get out to Knossos or a tour of Crete countryside (I lived on Crete for a couple of years). Love your videos. No worries from Australia.
When you said you couldn't eat in a public area, is that just in port, or does that include the ship slso if so? Where did you ear at on the ship is the MDR or buffet a public area maybe do a separate vlog on all Ramadan rules on ship and in ports
It is a beautiful ship and the terminal was amazing! I don't think I will ever be on one that size, but it's incredible! Living vicariously through you. 🤣 Thanks Fraser!
