Governments all around the world are adopting this monetary blasphemy, and I believe governments worldwide will soon force their citizens to use central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). And for us Americans, the wholesale CBDC starts in July with a retail CBDC right around the corner. The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is already piloting their international cross border retail CBDC (code name Icebreaker) right now. A CBDC will enable all sorts of horrible, totalitarian things like the ability to track and control every penny you earn, save, spend, confiscate and redistribute your wealth as they see fit. Central Banks will establish expiration dates on your currency, impose deeply negative interest rates, punish and reward people in ways they previously couldn’t with a China-styled social credit system. CBDCs will be touted as a “solution” by providing future economic stimulus and fighting money laundering and tax evaders. CBDCs will be the solution for our dollars demise and a currency reset.

    anyone know if SD might do a Memorial Day sale? and FCK the SBDC. I think June is rolling out the "fed now" and that'll be phase 1 and a solid signal its coming. I promise you the govt will say "if you convert your money we will match dollar to dollar, AND we will gift you this FREE digital wallet!" and the sheep will jump. People will say "were already using digital currency with our phones and Apple Pay" and not get the concept that currency will cease to exist. I guess it was inevitable. although 2000 years ago they wrote "you wont be able to buy or sell without it". 2030..the government: "Why use that old digital wallet technology when we can use super micro wallets invisibly right onto your hand for faster, safer transactions!!"

    Theere is one item I believe you've missed, Yankee, & that is try to negotiate with your employer (if you are a wage/salary earner) to go back to old school, & pay you in some form of money (whether that be meatls, food, etc.). You still have to earn a living. You can then negotiate to transfer that into metals, hopefully. Just have to hope that it is available, once the full-fledged CBDC system is in place. Most will not have the option to build up stockpiles of metals, to last their lifetimes.

    Gold is money, I get it. I understand and agree with all you say Yankee, but surly you do realise that when CBDC is adopted world wide, which I believe it will, you may find yourself with a hoard of gold and silver which you won't be able to barter with due to the measures the government will enact. These measures I'm sure will be a very tight control over gold. Measures like only being able to exchange gold for currency at appointed government exchanges where they will decide the rate of exchange. The only way gold can work is if it is liquid and can be exchanged for currency. The CBDC must indeed be resisted and fought against not just for the sake of loosing the £ or the $ but for all the other draconian side effects which government can impose upon it's people.

    Yankee, can you please address how bartering with fractional silver will work if you need change? Will people charge a specific gram or oz price for goods/services? Will we be forced to buy more goods than we need rather than get change? Should we buy a couple bags of silver shot for the smallest fractional in case people employ scales at markets? Secondly, what do you think of creating an app that would track the going prices of goods in silver/gold so we don't pay more than we have to? Or do you think that silver will need to be exchanged for the fiat currency of the day in order to buy goods, whether that means CBDCs or cash?

    It is a certainty that the US government will initially seek to gain broad CBDC acceptance by giving everyone some CBDC "for free", much like the heroin dealer who always gives some for free to each new victim. I submit that getting your state government to ban the use of CBDC's within the state might be one of the most effective ways of fighting back against this tyranny.

    Its hard to imagine cbdc working well anywhere, but here in las vegas its a very cash driven city. Any idea how cbdc would be efficient here? Like, replace bill acceptors with card slots sor something? Sounds like a faster way to go broke

    The bank of Canada is asking for the public's feedback on Twitter until June 29th regarding their opinion of a digital dollar. They only provide what they deem the positive points. Feel free to provide feedback about why this is a horrible idea.

    I'm asking as I don't know the answer. Congress used an act of congress to grant a charter to create the Federal Reserve Bank. Why can't we elect enough congress people to repeal that charter? I know, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Why is it always the regular working folks that have to jump thru the hoops? I know, because we ani't got the $$. Peace/Out!
