  1. They call that a bloody diamond because it is worth a lot hence the euphaism ie diamond as en expression of how rare or lucratie etc high value it is but because they whip people until they bleed like in the 1800s and probably anybody held captive as a slave essentially in the usa in the 1900s as wel las evidenced by the case of peonage?/peonism? Etc from the 1953 court/civil court/crminal court/court law etc of a federal case the went on to be said to have become largely overshadowed by the civil rights movement etc for until it became more so of a boiled or at least built up to point of strike/riot/looting the… well someplace… probably mostly urban but possobly if somebody had both been effected or else cared about it and been so caught up or moved by it as it from research basically seems like a "controversy" more than the kind of ones we see today for what it is worth or jppefully as I really do not wanna see the kind of destruction or wrecksge that such a situation would have to have in order to spawn/break out nowdays especially in the age of socoal medoa meaning it would be so widespread deverything and anything woild be altered or see fluctuations… and came upto the point of at least the late 1960s with the assasination of dr,pastor M.l.king (jr/the 2nd/mlk2?) Of which both the 1953 year also jad soem crazy lady tackle him in a library/book store from wich he had nearly died he said due to recieving of an attack with what is said to be called a "Letter opener"/staple remover/nail file (or else the metal kind of emery board if there the same word) etc and such device having been said to have been used tk stab him in the chest or stomach… either way nearly having killed him in the same year that STILL nearly a hundred years then upcoming from the final year of the confederate states of america p/collapse/fall of the attempted formation of a nation from a natjon which ALSO come to think of it is made from multiple territories acquired by variety of means some more brutal than others from natives, other nations etc or even idngoms or republics etc… still STILL yet secretly I highly doubt the actual act or concept of slavery ceases or ceased in even the usa soemwjere even if maybe not still in a same fashoon of such that it is at a sngular per,anent/long term location or place of which it is taling place… but still then at least was stilll a time when the usa was seeing a legal proccess of addressing a brought to light in 1953 state oftwo dudes that were brothers and bringing from whicj they "acquired" via "methods" of agreed upon "service exchange" consisting of implied presumable implication to have meant the several year long term of house duty etc for returning the favour of a suitabky equivalent for their species type of service/a hakf sandwich and ride in a horseless carriage/wagon [ie a pickup truck bed and a half a sandwich or soem other pathetic attempt of dupping peeps into gettign into the said autmobile and then beign held in or instructed that htey were nkt stopping until they were bacj at wherever their farm was bacj in presumably southern but not quite coast area of alabama from whicj thereby havign been going across the border from missippi back to alabama they were later written up on charges for human trafficking etc across a federal line meaning from outside of a states boundaries so across a states lines meaning then that makes it or made it a federaltherefore more national known case that ideally would havebeen televised imho if it had been more ideal well actually clearlyit would not have happened if ideal but whatever point is that it and also presumably because of the term Blood diamonds I imagien to be an expression for (one necause as diamonds themselves are very rare for mormally more than one of the many indivudals to be buying for that I say it is a lot smaller of a market to sell to and also everuthing nowdays has a built im non replacable yet recheargable battery pack… incessantly being used in now annual or worse ie sjorter ,ore frequent replacement cycles of devices that are literally so similar I swear they make like everything like new autmobiles brand new ones particularly so rapidly prone to obsolesence byceased support etc like tti does and did even in the 00s with vacuums now cellular phones and even other stuff like wireless headhones or earbuds etc video game console controller batteries etc being only a few years or worse at lasting regarding their ability and durability to last a long tiem kf longevity and repairable nature etc… but yet slavery continues as bizarre as the ckncept is to wonder about why or how wjomever first came up with the amount of melatonin/melanin one of the two iirc is the basis the person then and many more onwards in time up to now even soemwjere still in places around the world use to declare ones "worth" by using the term race/ethnicity etc whatever it is that anybody wants to call it or refer to it as… and declare that deciding the treatment of everyone but not necesarily on an even basis in fact often if not seldom or never a tjign done on an even/consistent basis randomly but rather goign back to melanin/melatonim etc to just arbitrarily declare whom exactly the designated or cjased after person or persons "shall be" in the mind of whatever that or any other caveman decided etc…

  2. Here we go. Another "rogue, loose cannon" reporter pretending to give a shit about worldly issues for the sake of making a buck. And nothing ever gets done about it. Its old.

  3. The upside down part of this is that if the world industrializes this those people will be left out and have even less money. How do we fix this and not leave them out?

  4. YOU ARE WRONG ! It is much cheaper and more effecient for a mining company to extract Cobalt by using bulldozers , excavators and huge trucks and employ 20 men to operate them . What you see in this video is thousands of men and boys being paid $4 per day which adds up to a bigger cost than using trucks and machinery. This is not cheap labor. The Congo government stipulates manual labor is used and they are paid $4 per day. $4 goes a long way in the Congo unlike America where $4 buys you nothing.

  5. China is raping Brazil in the same way, buying up land, fencing it off for miles for oil and resources and kicking out small tribes that have lived in the forest on rivers for hundreds of yrs and forcing them to move into cities. Evil people, dog and cat eating is bad enough.

  6. Yeah but this guy complaining does he own a phone now he's walking around with 100% of no Kobo in his life as an example and showing us how to exist without these things if not shut up😂

  7. Shocking, inciteful report thats made me look into further information of the ATTROCITIES. The Apocalyptic lives they Endure needs to be Globally Addressed Now! China not content on being the Biggest Animal Abusers on the Planet, they seem to the Biggest Child Abusers aswell 😡 Slavery & Exploition of People & Children is NOT ACCEPTABLE 💔

  8. Over the top great Video!!! Pushing the New green Deal is killing more people than ever! People need to wake up ! Get informed! Buying that EV is absolutely absurd ! Because of the amount of cobalt and other minerals needed to run them !! Disastrous!!!!! 😓

  9. JOe, tells us what if the cobalt mine were extracted from the Govern or by a big company, what is gone happen with those thousand miners to get your survivor????? Where to put all of them, as just a few will work by a machining process?

  10. This man is deceptive. He opens by talking about slavery. But nowhere does he say these workers were forced. The conditions don't look bad. He is disturbed by manual labor. The sounds of hammers and grunting. Truth is these people are making what is big money to them. Profiting off of their land rather than an outside corporation extracting it. Boohoo they're using hammers.

  11. I seriously wonder if the government got a tight grip on these mines by law and a strong military if they could hold the world hostage until their demands are met because I know they're one of the worst countries affected by China's one sided silk road initiative loans

  12. Wild watching this right after Musk’s podcast where he conveniently skipped mentioning cobalt. Is there any truth to his batteries not using cobalt? Seems like Elon has been involved with conflict minerals and metals his entire life.

  13. This is definitely an important thing that should be talked about. However, I have a point to raise. If there is no mining of cobalt there, the people who do the mining would have no means of making a living.

  14. This is insane "no hand mining here at all, not one" LITERAL OCEAN of people hand mining /facepalm idk what to do cause it's still happening and I'm typing this on a phone:(

  15. I am very happy to see this stuff on YouTube so that the rest of the world can see what is happening in Congo 🇨🇩 , this is my hometown, the Chinese and our leaders had to displace us to different areas in the forest and build the smaller houses so that they can have access to the cobalt and promised to care about our issues which was a big false promises, but the phone, electric car and battery companies are getting richer without giving back to local people, this need to change for the sake of humanity.
