      Everyone who is anti-CBDC because of privacy and control is an idiot. You already use digital EVERYTHING, and "they" can already track your every move.

      (I highly doubt you all still carry around wads of cash everywhere, don't carry a smartphone, and wear a silly mask to hide your face from the zillion cameras everywhere.) …"oh, but with cash, at least I have the OPTION to, if I need it!" Yeah, genius, and you will continue to have that option. Plus there's XMR and ZEC, duh.

      If you're NOT an idiot, then you realize the actual problem is the same one it's always been: the corrupt people behind the scenes with the power. To be anti-CBDC yet not do anything to get rid of corruption, is to put a band-aid on a patch of melanoma and say you solved the problem. Sorry, but crypto and stable coins and CBDCs are the future. The genie is already out of the bottle and there's no stopping it. If you want a secure and private future with more freedom than you have now, stop worrying about the technology, and start bothering to do something about corruption itself.

      CBDC need a bill to protect the freedom of users much like the US 's Bill of Rights but specifically for CBDC with terms that put the public in charge of their money and that at all times CBDCs could not be used against the user.
