  1. Sean. Can you pls tell me if de-dollarisation happens, what will happen to Australian $, especially being an ally of US? Is it peg to USD, means if USD fell then all currencies peg to USD will fall too right?

  2. China will be a stupid country if they continue to buy treasury in America stock. With what America has done and is still doing, there is no need for China to buy any bond from America. Of what use is a country wishing to wipe you off the world map economically and militarily, and you consider that country your friend?.

  3. Beijing should let blinken come but he have to walk from the plane and take his own bus to meet the leader of China who all went sick that day and he have to meet the lowest ranking officer there. When he return to US he will have to get the plane by himself as no one is the to sent him off.

  4. US has shot itself on the foot and cornered itself between the hard rock and a hard place,,, US situation is between the devil and the deep blue sea… either way it is a gone case…a one way ticket to Hell…

  5. Imagine the high interest rate earn by the > 860 billion usd. Wow….China may not dump, unless China certain the Brics currency can work out. Brics weak link is India. Playing both side. Not reliable partner.

  6. Sullivan: China's cancellation of trillions of U.S. debt can be exchanged for Taiwan's peaceful settlement. Can we agree?

He had discussed Taiwan with Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign and floated a startling idea: trade China for forgiveness of $1.2 trillion in U.S. debt in exchange for peace in Taiwan.

Sullivan wrote in a 2016 email to Hillary Clinton:

Sullivan:"I have a bold idea, I don't know if it works, but I want to share it with you.

If we could make a deal with China that they would write off our $1.2 trillion of bond holdings in return for some sort of concession on Taiwan, then we could solve our biggest fiscal problem and avoid Military conflicts in the Asia-Pacific region.

  7. It seems like the US is organizing the chinese invasion of USA via canada, to be triggered by the upcoming second plandemic. Or is that not obvious?

  8. At 0:17 "Yellen says decoupling from China would be disastrous". It does not matter anymore if the US wants to decouple from China or not. For China to rely on US technology would be equal to suicide. China will become 100% independent from US technology.

  9. China is much weaker place than few years ago. They never transitioned away from relying on exports. However, their governments/municipalities have extremely high debt levels. So, take away exports (covid lockdowns, higher manufacturing costs, wolf-warrior diplomacy) and suddenly they have no engine for economic growth AND they lack the capacity to boost their GDP through infrastructure projects (everything has been built and debt levels are high). In top of that, their demographics is a mess.

China century is over before it ever began.

  10. In addition to emptying the present $860 billion U.S. debt, China should also reduce its foreign exchange reserves, currently at $3.2 trillion of which $2.8 trillion are in U.S. dollars, to a bare minimum and use the proceeds to buy and ship at least 6,000 tons of gold back to China. The Chinese Yuan backed by gold is a sure-fire way to succeed in the internationnalization of the Chinese currency and also a big boost to the de-dollarization around the globe. It simply does not make sense for China to treat the Americans nicely while the U.S. continues to shout commands "from a position of strength" (which former Foreign Affairs Central Commission Director Yang Jiechi famously rejected at the Alaska Summit in 2021).
