German protesters call for opening of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline amid skyrocketing bills



Some hundreds of Germans protested on Sunday to demand Scholz’s government to turn the taps on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline amid spiraling energy bills.

The pipeline has been halted as one of the tough sanctions against Moscow, while the Nord Stream 1 has been completely shut down by Russian side citing tech woes.

    Comedy …..I visit that protest ….maximum 200 people.and I see you talking about what German people think…lol…
    Give them chance and they will do what they doo in last century. Actually they are very aggressive nation

    It is NOT a couple hundreds, we have thousands and thousands protesting in hundreds of cities nearly everyday – watch out the 3 and 8 october, there will be mass protests in Germany against the sanctions.against russia.

    Putin and Merkel planned this pipeline together, it was a win win situation for both sides. However there was somebody who did NOT want this pipeline and good trade relations between russia and Germany, it was the usa under OBama, he tried everything to prevent this pipeline to be build and it was also the usa who forced Germany to put sanctions on russian gas. We now dont receive the gas we had already payed for because chancelor Scholz gave in to Bidend sanction plan against russia.The USA tries to destroy Europe and to make them dependent on american fracking gas. Our politicians dont speak up or have little to say. We are forced into this ukraine war by Biden and he also destroyed the gas pipelines.

    Weak people. Unable to see the bigger picture. I'll suffer for years if it means I won't have to be at threat from Russia. Scum. Let them protest. They are the minority. EUROPE STANDS WITH UKRAINE.
