with companies like apple setting up manufacturing sites after moving away from China this was a no brainer, they've got too much money tied up in the west to not take advantage of their weakness and offer a helping hand. This will likely legitimize a lot more of their industries and open new trade opportunities to create cheap commodities for the US consumer especially during inflationary times. Modi may just squeeze or prop up the last bit of value the dollar has before it craters

But again, it is also right to give credit to those who are winning and humble yourself to learn from them, that is if you're serious to win or better still remain in the competition with them (pride comes before a fall). If you are not winning with your best technics, you join the winners and learn from them theirs. That's how success is achieve. Blindly hating others for outperforming you will just lead you to your doom. Accept the fact that others are way ahead of you and work on yourself, instead of being jealous of their achievements. China and Russia must establish another organization. They must invite Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Cuba, Kenya, Zimbabwe, N Korea, Iraq and all other countries that publicly defy America.
“Climate change” wars could be why India is doing this.
They know the west is planning to eliminate the strength of oil rich countries by using EV technology.
Then use “fossil fuels are killing the planet” as a way to vilify middle eastern countries.
Smart move by India to avoid all the crazy and build their own infrastructure and economy.
