The Suez operation
A little different video this time. A little insight in how service people, seamen, pilots and agents get on and off the ship in the Suez canal.
The canal takes 8 – 10 Hours to pass, and is for the most man made. It is a special experience to have to sail it.
And then you have the chaos in getting on and off the ship.

Fact about the Canal:
It is 193.3 Km long, and goes from the city of Suez and the city of Port Said.
In 1858, Ferdinand de Lesseps formed the Suez Canal Company for the express purpose of building the canal. Construction of the canal lasted from 1859 to 1869. The canal officially opened on 17 November 1869.
In 2021, more than 20,600 vessels traversed the canal (an average of 56 per day).
Maximum width of a ship is 77.5 Meters
Maximum draught (depth in water) is 20.1 Meter
