Sebastian explores future applications of data mining and software in the mining industry. He shows how data analysis can improve the economics and ecology of mines worldwide. Sebastian graduated in Mining Engineering from RWTH Aachen University in 2015. He had been
working as a project engineer for a mining consulting & engineering organization, being responsible
for optimizing world-wide’s mining operations and equipment. Currently Sebastian is founder and
CEO of talpasolutions, an analytics software company, based in Essen. It provides predictive
analytics applications for mobile assets, covering equipment in the heavy industry, including mining,
