Nationals MP Matt Canavan says Australia is being “bankrolled” by the strength of the nation’s mining industry.

“Our budget is only really holding on thanks to the record exports we are seeing from coal, from iron ore, from gas,” he told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

    1. Australia is very very attractive to rich migrants from Asia.
They bring in loads of cash to buy apartments, to spend etc.
      This spur economic growth.
Look at EU today …….cash poor and economy in trouble.
Looks like the winter of discontent.

    2. STOP WITH THE PROPAGANDA,yes Australian economy is based on minning, but let's be real about it most of if not all large Australian mining companies are owned by England, china or America an are on the London stock exchange listed as British companies not Australian,AN THE AUSTRALIAN ECONOMY IS A MONEY LAUNDERING FRONT FOR THE BANK OF ENGLAND an we let them take billions in minerals out after taxing the laundered money, some one like England, south Korea paying 80million for a mineral deposits then taking out 200 billion in profits is not a fair deal
