A year ago, Russia stopped supplying gas to the EU through the Nord Stream pipeline to hurt the bloc for its overwhelming support for Ukraine. The weaponization of its gas supplies has ended up hurting Moscow more. We speak to Olga Khakova at the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center.

    2. of course… now Germany buying CHINESE & INDIAN oil & gas… no wonder German people and their leaders are so smart and they know how to tackle these issues.. Hope indian and Chinese petroleum products.. giving you better efficiency… what a show of smartness by Germans😊😊

    3. Europe is so pathetic, surely most of EU have fallen from grace, no longer high and mighty, only because they buy gas from dictator countries and by doing so they have funded dictators' war effort for decades, they are so guilty after all.

    4. No they rely on American gas at 4 and 5 times the price so Germanys energy costs go up. So industry relocates for cheaper energy. Wonder where would it be the US VW anyone lmao. Mugs 😂

    5. This report is so funny because that means Germany is STILL BUYING RUSSIAN GAS but at PREMIUM PRICE via Belgium, Netherlands, France, Spain etc 😂 because more than 52% of overall Russian LNG export in 2023 still goes to EU where 90% of that are imported by those EU Countries. 😂🤡

    6. True, but Germany is also NO LONGER the powerhouse economic force it use to be, Heck, the crippling UK economy is projected to perform better next year.

When historians look back on these times, they will point the finger at the US and UK for torpedoing the German economy. After BrExit, the UK economy just simply failed to grow again, while Germany's economy shined. Then came the end of the cheap oil that fuelled the German economy.

    7. The EU zone have massively increased the use of Russian LNG gas, this is misdirection to keep the uninformed happy, very dishonest media spin.

    8. Meanwhile exports from Germany to Russia goes on via CIS countries, since the war started export via these countries has risen by wapping 900%.
      Well done i guess…

    9. You make it sound like a good thing. And it wasn't Russia that stopped deliveries, it was the EU who refused any more gas from Russia for purely ideological reasons (dictated by the US).
You guys an do good documentaries, keep with that because anything political you really suck.

    10. Now that Europe is independent of Russian oil and gas and buying the expensive ones from USA or Middle East.
How do you stay competitive in a world where China and India are getting the same oil and gas CHEAPER ?
Europe cost of production will be higher and less attractive.
Europe had lost Russian tourists and business.
Europe could be losing some Chinese tourists and business too …
With all the headwinds, how can Europe survive ?

    11. BRUSSELS. Aug 31 (Interfax) – The volume of liquefied natural gas (LNG) the European Union is purchasing from Russia has been growing and climb to a new high in 2023 according to European Commission Spokesperson Tim McPhie said.
Let the truth be told, Europe buys more Gas this year then the previous 2 yrs…Its "Hypocrisy" in its core. They announced to the world or their citizens – "We don't buy gas from Russia" and nodding their heads up and down(yes) at the same time.. Numbers cant lie.

    12. This is so silly 😅 Belgium and the Netherlands doesn't produce any significant amount of natural gas. So where does Germany really get their gas from? Probably still Russia, it's just that it's more expensive since it's LNG and coming from other countries. And since Germany has done something very idiotic which is shutting down its last nuclear power, they will have a very expensive winter coming.

    13. real solution is to phase out gas altogether. paying exaggerated prices to US suppliers isn't any better than being dependent on Russia. Its just bad in a different way.

    14. Netherland and Belgium Gas is american gas. Gas terminals are there. New dependency. It is nothing to be proud of. it is expensive, environmental unfriendly,..

    15. "since final Russian gas delivery"
Sure, but at what cost? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    16. They just burned more of their low grade coal to make up the difference increasing their c02 output. Just great for the environment just give themselves a slap on the back.

    17. People do their best to cope here in Germany. They also do not buy chinese trash the way they did. Keep that in mind whilst shopping! Its the next threat.
