US & Chevron Speed Up Joint Niger Gas Pipeline Production After Russian Nord Stream Explosion

US & Chevron Speed Up Joint Niger Gas Pipeline Production After Russian Nord Stream Explosion – On July 26, 2023, Nigerien President Mohammed Bazoum was ousted by the head of his own presidential guard, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, in a swift and bloodless palace coup. The military takeover was widely condemned by the international community, with France and many other Western countries and international bodies like the European Union and the United Nations explicitly condemning the coup. However, one major global player that was uncharacteristically quiet about the situation in Niger was the United States. America paused all of its humanitarian aid, security and assistance programs in Niger after the development, but has been reluctant to call it a coup. This is because the U.S. has significant investments in drone bases in Niger which it considers a key ally in counterterrorism, surveillance and intelligence. However, something bigger is reportedly at play, inspiring America’s reluctance to condemn Niger; the United States and gas company Chevron were rumoured to be stepping up production of a vital billion-dollar gas pipeline that passes through Niger into Europe after the explosion of the Russia Nord Stream pipelines.
That billion-dollar gas pipeline is called the Trans-Saharan gas pipeline project. The $13 billion project, which some claim is secretly being funded by the USA and Chevron, aims to transport Nigerian gas to Europe, promising to fuel both energy-hungry nations and economic growth along its 4,000-kilometer route. The pipeline, with an exact length of 4,128 kilometres, would connect Warri in Nigeria to the large Hassi R’Mel gas hub in Algeria, crossing through Niger and carrying about 30 billion cubic metres per year of gas exports from these three countries to Europe. The initial agreements for the passage of this pipeline through Niger were reached with the old regime, but the new, pro-Russia junta leaders do not share their predecessors’ zeal for European cooperation. And this has become a problem for America because it needs this pipeline up and running to exploit the huge European demand for gas created by the explosion of Russia’s undersea Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines, an occurrence it is rumoured to have orchestrated and executed to perfection.

  1. The US should slow down production. Because in the case of war the Junta may target the pipe line. Especially since the people of Niger are not paid for pipe running through their own country.

  2. U.S. will buy for cheap and sell to Europe for high price and Niger will stay the same: poor!!! Are you Africans aware of what U.S. did to nordstream pipeline? They bombed it on purpose. Why not invite African governments to get involved instead?? Wasn't it a win-win benefits they promised before they set up the military bases in Niger?? Hard to break away from the west. You fall for their tricks all the time. That's why they love you!!!

  3. Very good to the Niger present administration in accepting US as the one to build the pipeline, it's a blessing to your country however let's be grateful to them not reversed like what happened to Saudi Arabia's prince showing ungratefulness to the US, not thinking that US is the one who help Saudi that is why they are prosperous now.

  4. That pipleline is going no way, because the gas pipeline is from biafra land, biafra nation is not in support with this dirty game, they are not away of this business going on,they did not inform the people of biafra land, that pipeline is going no way!!!!

  5. 🇳🇪 will stop that damn pipeline aint gonna happen intel we Africans benefits from it no more bullshit from westerners..

  6. If NATO or American don't pay Russia for it's lost of the north stream pipeline then the pipeline to be built across Africa will be distroy on completion and Europe will suffer more.,it only commonsense.

  7. America is responsible for the northstream pipeline, so if russia waits until the pipeline in niger is complete and then" POW" an eye for an eye my friend. White america never has any thing to say about the evil america until its over, and they walk away.

  8. Tell the truth joe Biden didn't like the fact that he cant by Russian bread for 12 cents and sell it for 7 dollars like they do to Africa so they attacked there most valuable sorce of income.

  9. Higer needs to control this matter , as Niger has the upper hand on this pipeline situation. Niger just has to be strategic on the situation for sure . Also get benefits for the pipeline. Maybe secret benefits due to France taking liberty for as so long . Just be smart Niger…

  10. The US and the EU should first find a away to settle with Russia peacefully. Otherwise it is going to be very difficult for them to build and maintain a trans border pipe lines anywhere. This has nothing to do with the leaders in Africa especially Niger's juntas.
Common sense. You blow up my pipe line and expect me to leave yours intact.
This might sound funny or rediculous but perhaps accepting the blame and fixing the blown up pipe lines would be a good start.

  11. This is an example of nations extending their boarders and act is if they are local corporations with right to own what's not theirs. First the oil being shipped belong to Niger and the income is now assumed to be Chevron's a foreign USA corporation. It has no legal rights to make decisions on another nation unless we go back to colonial era. All foreign corporations are legal persons and should be stopped to think they own Niger's assets.

  12. As always two person can play the same game. I hope someone blow up the pipeline which US is spending billions to build but that is not a viable option. They should just sell their cheap gas to the rest of Africa instead

  13. How does this pipeline project by the US and its corporation help to provide electricity to the whole country of Niger . The US never give anything without taking much more …….. it it debt trap , death trap or scam trap .

  14. Funny fact! The west since the 1920's has portrayed Africa as a developing nation and a third world continent. However, they secretly put puppet leaders in place to continue neo slavery and they signed illegal contracts with fake puppet leaders to deny any form of industrialisation and development on the continent. Africa is the richest continent in the world and has endured multiple holocausts, wars and neo slavery till date. Here's a fact. If Africa closed all its borders to all foreigners, the west would claim it has found weapons of mass destruction in a cow’s anus. They cannot live without Africa. This is a fact. Their main business model is theft and murder. Nothing else. Most of the inventions in the west came from a foreigner. They couldn't even figure out how to make basic fireworks. Had to import nazi scientists after WW2 (Operation paperclip) to figure it out. They have nothing. And they can't live in harmony with the planet’s resources and other sentient beings. Now, they want to go to another planet and spread like a disease, across the galaxy. It will never happen. WW3 will not be fought for land, religion, resources or even survival. None of these things have no value in a world where 1 + 1 = 6? Their time is at hand. The coming war will be won through evolution/providence.

  15. If the US condemns French illegal occupation of Niger and assists in getting rid of those parasites, I think they could consider working with the US for a fair price. But if they don't then they should not cooperate and all Africans should descend upon that pipeline and blow it to kingdom come. LOL
