Check the charts over the life span of BTC, the halving does not follow a "4 year cycle" it never has been 4 years. All are closer to 3 year time frames. What BTC does, is follow liquidity of the traditional markets.

The only time BTC went to ATH was after the traditional stock markets went to and broke its all time highs first. Look for the same thing to happen this time, but spoiler alert BTC may just retrace.
