Hbar is one of those projects that isn't overly sexy as it's pure utility. It's not going to the moon anytime soon but behind the scenes they are working on multiple projects all of which add value. Marginal gains add up. As an example when Steve Jobs died in 2011, 4 years after the launch of the iPhone, Apple wss valued at $360 billion USD. Under Tim Cook's lead, remember he was working in the engine room as Chief Operations Officer under Jobs, he made numerous incremental changes. Thousands of small experiments which were relentlessly analysed for results to ensure continuous improvement. Due to these marginal gains Apple is now worth $2.7 trillion USD. That's a phenomenal increase and no other CEO in history has created that much wealth. Eth, BTC et al are about at their peak. They are not making constant improvements the same way that Hbar increases its TPS for instance. They are not being adopted by industry to run Web3 the same way that Hbar is. Patience is required when dealing with utility crypto. Patience is key. For the silly meme coins there is no rhyme nor reason why they rise other than silly people chasing dreams.

Problem is, a lot of people expect to get 100x returns on their investment in a few days, and dont understand how the market works. I have made a modest amount over the last few years from shorts, which means I am not worried about my long positions. Its all about not being greedy, and recognising when the pull backs will inevitably happen. I have XRP/HBAR/XLM in my long positions. Thats all I intend to hold for now

The dangers of coins such as Shibu appear to be Forks where developers receive Bone and Leash and the interest wanders off into a path where innovation may lead to opportunities.
I was a competitive swimmer and day after day practicing was painful and boring. I learned to set goals and visualize the prize. Later in life I made a quarter of a million in a year, net. I quickly realized money doesn’t make you happy, and you want more. A false idol.

The psychology aspect is a good take on things. The way to beat the mind game is to zoom out and realize the market runs on cycles just like everything else. We're still in a bear market. Period. Buy now what you think is best in the projects that actually mean something. When the bull market rolls around in 2024 or (hopefully sooner) 2025 you'll be a happy person.
