Blockchain 101 | Understanding The Power of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency

In this video, we will explain the Term Blockchain and Cryptocurrency.
These 2 terms are commonly used in our daily lives and they participate in the evolution of the web, from web 2 to web 3.
However, the topic of today’s video is not about web 3, it is about blockchain and cryptocurrency.
Currently, Our World is centralized, meaning, the authorities have control over us, over our data. The web 3 powered by blockchain aims to give us a decentralized experience, where the authority or government have no control over our data.
Blockchain aims to offer to the people control over their data and security, because blockchains are secured and encrypted using hashing algorithms such as sha-256. Also Blockchains are immutable, once data is registered in a blockchain, it can’t be deleted anymore.
With blockchain, rises cryptocurrency like bitcoin, Ethereum, litecoin and more. These currencies are decentralized and operate without a financial institution behind it. It utilizes peer to peer network to send transactions which is recorded within the blockchain.
