Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says the government does not need to adjust petrol prices for Australians.

“The oil price is coming down anyway as it is so from that point of view petrol prices will come down,” Mr Greenwood told Sky News Australia host Chris Kenny.

“So long as the government can make certain there is enough competition between the oil companies.

“When you have got oil today in the sixties when it was at one stage up close to $90 … those prices are going to come down.

“The government doesn’t need to do it.”

    2. The OPEC countries have already started to reduce their oil production to increase the cost of oil. That's how the market works 😊, there are no supply problems, but retailers are still charging what they won't 😮, the country is already in a recession due to an incompetent government, who wasted 18 months on a referendum trying to divide the nation,

    3. Note to EV haters:
When more people drive EVs, the demand for petrol goes down and the price at the pump goes down with it.
Next time you see the price of petrol drop a little at the pump, thank those EV drivers. They're actually helping you.
