Point the suaz canal is being blocked by a group known as the houthis out of Yemen and because of this economic blockade it is causing shipping vessels to have to take a route that is halfway it’s a detour of like an around the world detour or at least around a

Hemisphere detour and of course you know when things like that occur it’s going to drive up the price why because the crews on that ship have to be paid more because they’re on the ship longer it also means that you burn more fuel okay that cost it means that insurance

Contracts have to be extended for a greater length of time all of that expense is going to be put off to some degree now I don’t know I’ll correct myself I don’t know if 100% of the expense will be forwarded to the consumer but you can best believe that the shipping companies

Are not going to be willing to eat all of that and the endof thee line retailers that this these goods are going to they’re not going to be willing to eat it all either so who’s left you and I the consumer so here’s what’s happening inflation weary us Shoppers fa price

Suz C uh Canal did not exist we’re going to go all the way down to the uh Horn of Africa uh I don’t think that’s called the horn I actually believe that’s called the Cape of Good Hope uh in any event they’re dipping down there and

Then coming up and you know voila we’re on the uh western coast of uh Africa and the you know European Coast up in by Britain so you you know how the map rolls uh the threat has forced shipping Giants including denmark-based MK and they’re doing something a little

Now here briefly we got one of these shipping Giants MK they’re uh saying that they’re going to go ahead and schedule more than 50 ships to travel through the Suz canal and they’re saying they’re going to do that because even though these you know um attacks are

Taking place they have faith that the us-led International Maritime security force will be able to effectively protect vessels passing through the area so that’s quite a commitment from MK uh saying that they’re going to do that now 50 ships okay fine if the houi rebels happen to uh be successful in trying to

Get at even one of those it probably is going to change the calculus quite a bit so uh look this is what we’re looking at now I don’t see any end um to this conflict in sight uh also the houie rebels have vowed to continue their attacks despite the expanded

Us-led Force so uh you know that’s where we’re at right now these guys are using drones to uh fairly well uh all kinds of lowcost Technologies to prosecute this uh blockade that they have going effectively a blockade that they have going we’ll continue to monitor it uh
