To CoinDesk, ICP Doesn’t Exist
what’s going on guys this is James Allen
today is Sunday April 21st
2024 one of the things I found weird uh
last week is the fact that uh I look at
the news every day uh I look at crypto
news every day to see what’s going on in
the market and of course to keep you
guys updated and one pattern I’ve
noticed uh especially on coind Des is
the fact that to coin ICP doesn’t exist
right I mean ICP might as well be a
ghost uh according to coin does I mean
I’ve been looking at their uh news feed
for weeks and I haven’t seen a single
mention of Internet computer uh all you
see is Bitcoin Bitcoin Bitcoin sometimes
ethereum and more Bitcoin not saying
that coin Des is mentioned some altcoins
like pay but you you really don’t see
anything uh about internet computer and
I went on Google Trends to see well
maybe the public is not talking about
internet computer but when you look at
when you search for ICP on Google Trends
you see that uh the search for internet
computers up 140% right so clearly it’s
not public interest that’s lacking uh
for whatever reason coind Des does not
want to mention internet computer so I
sort of became impatient and went to
coind uh search and research ICP right I
typed in Internet computer and see okay
let me see if I could find some articles
at least written in the past about
internet computer from coind Des and
Believe It or Not uh you know I I found
like maybe one or two articles and I
think the the last one was published on
August
2021 right and they were all Market
articles um basically there were
articles about price actions of Internet
computer and you really start to ask
yourself at this point like coind Des is
an authority a news Authority in a
crypto World it has an obligation to
inform the public of What new
technologies are out and are worthy of
investigating uh for the consuming
public right because after all
decentralized web is a massive effort to
free the public from the chains of big
Tech so coin Des definitely has an
obligation to tell the public of new
technologies that are going to make
decentralization truly possible for the
community for the public but you know
even though in Internet computer is
probably the the biggest consumer
blockchain that’s going to allow that I
I don’t know any blockchain that’s more
consumer friendly than internet computer
which is why I like it I’ve always been
a consumer
uh app developer I love the consumer I I
love B Toc uh and this is why I love ICP
so much right because I felt like this
is the blockchain platform for the
consumer for the consuming public it’s
the it’s it’s it’s going to be the
mainstream platform for decentralized
web and you would think a platform like
coindesk which is a massive authority of
news in a crypto world would mention a
lot more about ICP especially
considering all the pioneering
technology ICP has whether it’s the
reverse gas model right whether it’s
it’s um chain key cryptography whether
it’s the 1 second finality uh there’s so
many features ICP has I think that is
worthy of looking at CK BTC
CK uh to name a few right uh yet you’re
not hearing a goddamn thing about
internet computer on coin Des uh I
looked at Crypton news as well but
Crypton news is just a an aggregator
right so it doesn’t really count as much
as coin Des which in my opinion is doing
the public a criminal act by its lack of
mention of Internet computer so what do
you guys think do you think this is a
conspiracy do you think uh coin is not
mentioning internet computer on purpose
to sort of you know protect Solana to
protect Bitcoin to protect ethereum
because there’s a lot of financial
whales in these blockchains or do you
think it’s just not internet computers
time yet and in time as as public
interest sore in ICP coin Des will
inevitably cover it seriously uh as as a
block chain so which one do you think
which one are you guys leaning for do
you think this is a conspiracy or do you
think internet computer so ahead of its
time that coin death hasn’t caught up
yet and hence it’s not mentioning
internet computer cuz the coin Des ICP

CoinDesk is the biggest authority of crypto news in the Western world. One pattern I have noticed after frequently visiting their site is the fact that CoinDesk does not mention ICP whatsoever. CoinDesk is littered with news about Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and meme coins like Pepe or Shiba Inu. Yet, a pioneering blockchain technology like Internet Computer fails to get any mention on Coindesk. In fact, their last article coverage on ICP was done on August 2021. What’s going on here? Spot on the reason is these News platforms are already bringing fake news to the masses about the true value of blockchain technology mainly because the wealthy are s@#ting their pants and trying to hang on their piles of fait they stole from the masses.

I was amazed at the lack of knowledge or purposeful omissions in their presentation.
1)They only mention Chainlink
2)They refer to oracle’s as a benefit
3)They clearly don’t understand the difference between web2.5 and real web3
I am convinced this is deliberate.
Remember seeing top 10 lists for speed and gas fees etc and icp wasn't on it.. and it's number 1 in some categories.. I find that suspicious.. almost like they don't want ppl to know about it because for the reason you say.. they don't want it to slow sales on the more marketed bigger coins

I think that most of the influencers don't talk about Icp because they talk about it when it launched, and after that launch they don't want to be accused of anything. they want none of that…

Bitcoin has its right soul place, as being the first Crypto, but after that, with all emerging technologies coming after bitcoin, it relegates it to a dead, if not already dying technology, and since the New York Stock Exchange owns coin decks, I would argue personally that bitcoin is the final pumping dump scam which is why you see no mention of ICP going back as far as 2001 which is a very tell-tell sign…
Not to get too carried away but what if ICP is actually more useful than BTC? What if most people are purposely ignoring the best innovation in blockchain since its inception? I have been in this space for a few years now and most crypto is a ponzi but ICP checks all the boxes of being the next Google, Microsoft etc.

To be fair, Solana is much easier to launch a token than ICP. If they fix that, then ICP is the goat
CoinDesk? I think there is no conspirancy, because some media formats only inform about coins with a very hight marketcap or growthrate. I think in 5 years from now, ICP will make headlines like this.
It is not the right time. Not enough significant Dapps are deployed, and there is no mass adoption or overwhelming narrative.
