Europe intends to refuse from Russian gas

while preparing the 14 sanctions package
the EU is discussing tiing sanctions
against the Russian gas industry as
Bloom right certain sources this will
concern key Russian lergy chains and gas
reexport through European ports the EU
has already measures in place that allow
individual EU member states to block gas
supplies on a voluntary basis however
this did not bring any significant
results since the existing flows are
    associated with long-term contracts the
goal would be to further hit Russia’s
LNG supply chain and future revenues at
projects like Arctic LNG 2 the USD luga
LNG terminal and the morans plant some
of Russia’s LNG projects that would be
targeted by the measures already face
some restrictions on equipment used for
    liquifaction for example and other
    Technologies and services from a
    publication by Bloomberg agency future
restrictions will not include a ban on
purchasing fuel for usage within the EU
this is due to the fact that some
countries are still dependent on Russian
gas supplies according to the European
Agency for the corporation of energy
    Regulators Russia supplies about 18
billion cubic meters of LNG to European
ports Lithuanian lva Estonia and Poland
proposed to include embargo on Russian
gas in the 13th package of sanctions
experts argue that due to the
stabilization of the energy Market the
inclusion of Germany and Sweden in this
    discussion could radically changed the
    situation dependence on Russian gas
immediately became a political issue and
we have been dealing with energy
security issues from the very beginning
    electricity prices generation prices and
trading in the electricity Market are
Fallen significantly we have reached pre
crisis levels this also applies to
    Industrial electricity prices the graphs
show that sins are looking up and this
upward Trend should not be questioned
according to to experts due to the
decline in LNG prices good conditions
have now emerged that will allow Europe
to easily change the source of liquidi
    gas inputs according to gas
    infrastructure Europe the average
fullness of gas storage facilities in
the EU is 62% the largest impor of
Russian LNG is Spain Russia provides a
quarter of this country’s gas needs even
    with these figur Spanish storage
capacity is 82% analysts argue that
Russia’s place in the LG Market may be
taken by countries with which the EU is
    already actively
    cooperating the substitution is already
happening the markets are open for this
we have the United States of America
which supplied lmg to Europe very
actively this of course includes the
    Persian Gulf countries this includes
Cotter the situation with gas is a
little better than with oil because
those who Supply gas don’t have such a
criminal Association as a pack plus the
    grman has already called sanctions
against Russian LNG a continuation of
squeezing the Russian Federation out of
energy Market they say that this will
lead to a transition to more expensive
markets do Val analyst argued that
redirecting flows from Europe to Asia
will lead to transport costs according
to them this process will not only be
more expensive but also less safe
reported by Dan kesik andreco uatv news

The next round of European sanctions on Russia is expected to include restrictions on Russian liquefied natural gas for the first time. We are also talking about introducing sanctions against 3 Russian LNG projects, the implementation of which has not yet begun. Voice of America writes about this, citing sources in the EU.

    1. These long term contracts are problematic, that’s why Sweden still gets some gas from russia. They are written such that if we decline a delivery, we still have to pay and they will be left with the cargo. When they expire, there will be no new contracts

    2. Yes Europe can without Russian gas,i guess that's the reason why my brother was without heating in Frankurt for a month and a half because there was no gas.

    3. Stopping trade with Russia is helping the EU transition to renewables for everyones benefit!!! Spain can use North African gas and Solar now dominating electricity and heating in Spain!!

    4. Europe is helping fund russia's war machine. "You don't negotiate with terrorists" also means not trading with them, FFS. And why are russian visa's still allowed to roam Europe?! Its batshit.

    5. This is excellent news and should have been done a long time ago, a band on natural gas, coal and oil along with a total embargo and sanctions package that includes everything from A to Z with the exception of food and medicine.
      Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦 🇪🇺

    6. Sweden here, only about 1% of our households use gas. It is uncommon both for cooking and for heating. There are however restaurants who use gas but we are one of the countries that consume the least gas per capita in Europe. So I doubt that there would be any issues if we would cut out russian gas completely, especially considering that Norway has plenty of it.

    7. Yes more financial pressure must be applied to putins financial reserves. There are Western banks still operating inside Russia and profiting. Maybe they cannot leave but there may be something that can be done.

    8. When any country trades with Russia it becomes hostage to Russian demands and putin uses it along with bribes and political donations to manipulate decisions in his favour.
At present Russia is a malign influence and every possible tie to Russian business must be cut. Putin must be isolated.

    9. Why do America and the NATO alliance take so long to decide actions to help the Ukraine and ultimately it could be argued themselves people die whilst they debate there must be more urgency !

    10. Only one person out of 7.8 billion people, There is just one man wants this war. No one else want's this war. 99.995% of people world wide also do not want war any war ever again.
