United States Strike Back at the Energy Market. Uranium Fuel Will be U.S. Made Again

energy experts are the kremlin’s main source of Foreign Exchange earnings these revenues allow Russia to continue its war against Ukraine despite 13 EU sanctions packages and restrictions imposed by the US in cave Ali Moscow manages to earn billions of dollars from raw materials experts often we Face a problem when the internal Lobby of domestic producers are against sentain restrictions arguing that there will be significant impact on the internal Market of the European Union and at the same time the Imp and effect on the Russian Federation will not be so great some companies receive materials from Russia on much more favorable terms they offer a discount and cheapest material on the market and therefore within the European Union the competitiveness is distorted however the low price is not the only factor that makes us buy Russian resources as a legacy from the USSR the Federation inherited many closed production Cycles thanks to which Russia can produce resources that are in deficit for the West according to experts the greatest dependence is in metallurgy and nuclear energy there are about 20 blocks in Europe that were built during the Soviet Union and rosatom continues to supply fuel there because when it was decided in the ’90s that Russia would be able to supply it they simply stopped these production facilities they will not be able to cut off so quickly for example with Titanium or aluminium it is a very energy intensive production uction with cheap electricity needed and Russia occupies a very important Niche here the dependence can be overcome experts believe on April 30th the US Senate unanimously passed a bill Banning the import of enriched uranium from Russia according to US Department of energy in 2022 the Russian Federation accounted for almost a quarter of the US enriched uranium Market in addition the United States Congress allocated $2.7 billion to develop its own production Wyoming has the uranium to replace Russian Imports and we’re ready to use it our bipartisan legislation will help defund Russia’s War Machine revive American uranium production and jumpstart investments in America’s nuclear fuel supply chain John baraso United States senator from Wyoming from The Voice of America publication analysts are assur that Russia can be replaced not only in the nuclear energy sector the European Union has refused Russian gas and has not Frozen as Moscow had predicted moreover fuel prices have fallen to the level where they were before the Russian fullscale invasion of Ukraine central European countries that still buy Russian Pipeline gas are working on the alternative sources of import as for oil and gas of course it is easier because many countries have oil the United States itself is the largest producer of oil and gas it is theoretically possible to expand aluminum production it could be Norway because they have a lot of hydroelectric power stations they have very cheap electricity Europe’s gradual rejection of Russian energy resources is hitting the kremlin’s revenues gas proms experts for 2023 were 69 billion cubic meters the lowest since 1985 before Russia’s fullscale invasion of Ukraine in 2021 gas prom sold 185 billion cubic met abroad reported by Anastasia tarava andriano uatv news

As Russia’s most revenues to wage its aggressive policy towards NATO and wage war against Ukraine come from energy resources trade โ€“ United States declare a strive to return to uranium fuel production and broaden their network of American-made nuclear power plants around the world. Including 2 brand new fusion reactors for one of Ukraine’s most important NPPs.

    1. I think that Macron is more astute than he was with Putin at the start of this war – fully aware of the Russian and Chinese playbook. Xi must think Europe is Naive or has become soft and unprepared for its own defence.

    2. This is 1 of the reasons why I invest heavily in US / Western Uranium production. If we stop buying from Kazataprom (refined in Russia) Western Uranium stocks sky rocket. Also I don't invest in russian orc economy.. I feel bad for the Kazakhs that have to process uranium through russian refining facilities.

    3. Dear world. Get your aluminum from Iceland. New facilities, cheap abundant thermal and hydro power. The Vikings got what you need bro.

    4. When Putin realises that he made a mistake in attacking Ukraine โ€ฆ it will still be โ€œtoo lateโ€ Putin like trump and a couple other national leaders are only interested in their own fame and power. Thatโ€™s what Dictators are and do! Personal interest.

    5. We only bought uranium from Russia as it was cheaper for the U.S. to do it. We can shift to domestic production without too much of an issue. We have plenty of uranium in the U.S. I think it would be wiser to invest into more geothermal energy production, wind and solar farms with battery storage for providing energy when the sun is down. Cheaper in the long term and much safer.

    6. Uranium can be recycled a number of times . It significantly reduces the help life . Infact once fully consumed throu recycling it's half is only 500 years instead of 10,000 + years . That makes storage and disposal much safer and less costly . Do the research and the right thing.

    7. What other friendly and greatful country has large deposits of uranium and titanium and I'm sure would be willing to share with it's friends. Name of the country is U something Uknow, Uremember, no…….. silly me, it's Ukraine. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Along with that plus gas it will be able to supply a lot of Europe's energy needs and their customers won't need to be concerned about the supply being used as an economic weapon against them.

    8. As an American I have always believed this is the way to go. Actually. the US stopped processing and reprocessing (especially the later) nuclear fuel because of nuclear proliferation concerns. This was done by Jimmy Carterr in the 1970s.

Actually, for most materials the US has its own, or very nearby, friendly, sources. Look at what has happened with oil and natural gas. Rare earths, lithium, etc. are also available in the US. In fact, materials like rare earths aren't rare and were processed here very early. The thing it is a very "dirty" process to refine them. What has happened to both the US and Europe is that the processing of a lot of these materials was moved out of the countries to places like Russia and China for cost reasons. Those costs were driven by environmental regulation.

What ended up happening is that the west has just exported its pollution. This is a travesty!

There should be environmental tariffs on those countries like Russia and China reflecting this.

    9. This would definitely be an investment, but it is possible to breed Plutonium-239 nuclear fuel for reactors from standard Uranium-238 using something called a breeder reactor. Thorium, a by-product of the mining of rare earth metals we need for electronics, can also be used in a breeder reactor to create Uranium-233 which can be used as a nuclear fuel.
With some ingenuity, cooperation, and investment we can easily divest from Kazakh uranium.

    10. When the West gets serious about reducing carbon emissions, nuclear is the obvious path. But our public school teachers believe in a "transition" to wind and solar. It's not their fault, they don't know math either, a special teaching certificate is required.
