55M here, 2 or 3 years from retirement. I want to create a passive income stream so that I don't have to work if I don't want to. My question is, Besides the usual suspects such as SCHD, VYM, JEPI & JEPQ, what other securities would you recommend that will throw off good income with price stability.

How much do you have to invest?
I would do a lot of homework if I were you. That’s not really the right way to do it. Dividend investing is largely a fallacy, we can discuss in detail if you are interested.
Meanwhile go to Early Retirement Now and read up extensively on Safe Withdrawal Rates.
