I got hired by Intuit through a group called Magnit Global (I guess) to work as a remote tax preparer next tax season. I just wanted to find more information from people that have been in my position.
I've made my schedule from Jan 25th – April 15th. Does that mean training starts on the hire date? (Jan 8th) I assume training isn't paid either. It wouldn't let me schedule anything before then, even though the Wage Notification Form I received said the standard weekly hours were 25.
I'm kind of excited because I've never been paid this much to do tax preparation before ($36/hr), and I wanted to know if it's similar to working at a place like Jackson Hewitt.
So my questions are:
Around how many returns a day before and during April?
When does training start?
Is it anymore stressful than in person taxes?
Are most tax softwares generally the same?

Okay nevermind the training related questions, I found this on the website. Silly me.
“Your paid training period starts on your first day of employment and takes about 10 to 17 days to complete depending on tenure and other factors . This includes two full weekends, when TurboTax customers frequently work on their returns. There are both self-led and live remote sessions. After the training period, you will get to jump into the role and work directly with customers.”
