My tax return was filed and accepted by Federal, NJ, and NY State all in the last few days. I live in NJ, but my previous job was in NY, so I've had to file in NY as well. I owe NY taxes, and my tax guy just told me I can "log on to WWW.NY.GOV, put in my SS # and it will show me the amount I owe, and the options of how I can pay”. I found the website, and it was a bit more complicated than that. I found a section that said Pay Personal Income Taxes by creating an account, so I did that. I signed in, it shows my IT-203 was e-filed March 20th, but it doesn't show that I owe any money. Does it take a while for the amount owed to show up? Or am I possibly in the wrong place on the website?

That document, that you signed your name to, tells you what you owe.

Look at your NY tax return.
