Changing from MFS to MFJ with an already pending amendment on deductions

Hi,

This is the first year my partner and I are doing taxes as married. My partner already submitted as MFS and submitted an amendment to change from standard to itemized deductions. I have not filed yet. We would like to switch to MFJ. How should we approach this?
