Hi! I was a nanny for about 6 months and received a 1099-NEC. I have never had to file one of these before and usually do my taxes on my own online, as I have always just had W2s. I have been doing research on 1099s and nannying and am overwhelmed with what I need to do and am worried I was misclassified. For context, I was working through a nannying agency who was responsible for connecting me with a family to work for. The family dictated my schedule depending on their needs but paid the agency instead of paying me directly. Any help would be very appreciated on how to file. Right now I am just worried about getting my return done and doing it correctly to avoid any IRS trouble. Thank you.
