I’m from Ohio and have been using the same address, my mom’s previous house in Ohio, on all official paperwork for years. Recently I found out even though I do not live in Ohio I have accrued a city tax debt. They don’t seem to care where you made money but only that if you file under an Ohio address you owe money to that city. I work seasonally in Alaska from April – October every year and live in my companies housing. The housing changes year to year so it’s not a consistent address. The rest of the year I travel all over and have no income. I don’t pay state tax as Alaska does not have income tax and I file as a part-year resident of Ohio and Alaska. I’m wondering what my options are to stop paying city taxes to a city I don’t live in. Can I file taxes with a PO Box or other service as my “residence”? If so do I need a driver license for said residence? I’m feeling lost.
What’s my best option if I don’t have an address?
