CA Taxes for a WI resident.

NEVER lived in CA. NEVER earned income in CA. NEVER done business, sold stock or done any financial transactions with, in or affiliated with any entity, person, business or organization in CA. Been a resident of WI for the last 10 years and paid state income taxes there during that time. Just discovered a direct debit from my checking account for 4200 dollars from the California Franchise Tax Board from 16 April. No tax notice from CA was received.

Any help appreciated.
