If someone gets audited for residency / domicile by NY taxation, does the address entered on your Customs and and Border Protection account for your Global Entry application as your current address, ever get requested during an audit? I know it's not specifically requested by NY, but rather is it a document that falls into the general documents they request you to submit during an audit? Or does that not fall into the category of something they routinely ask/check for?

This is relevant for people living abroad or RVing who are using a CMRA service like Escapees on their drivers license / bank accounts / to receive mail etc. but needing to enter a real non CMRA US address for CBP application, and only having access to a NY address, even if they don't necessarily live there.
